Conductors Roll of Honour

The band's Conductor / Musical Director / Bandmaster is the person responsible for holding the whole band together, guiding it musically, and bringing the best performance possible from all the musicians in the band. Here is a list of many of the principal conductors the band has had, when they served, and as most learnt their craft in the armed services, their regiment where known. In many cases conductors have remained in the band and returned to playing once they have stepped down from the role of musical director, and have taken the occasional practice or concert when the principal conductor is unavailable.
